BACKGROUND
Defined by the World Health Organization, Depression is a common illness worldwide. Around 3.8% of the human population are suffering from depression. As a previous depression patient, I went through the healing process with my psychologist. From this personal experience, I noticed how mood could be affected easily in daily events. Having a product to trace people's mood and provide entertainment based on our mood necessary for us to adjust our emotions.
DESIGN BRIEF
Based on my personal experience, I was inspired to create an App called MOOD that traces user's daily mood changing. At the same time, the App could be accessed on Virtual Reality products by providing scenes for users to relieve their stress and be relaxed when they are in good mood.
OBJECTIVE
While I was going through the healing process as a depression patient, I got the information from my psychologist that depression symptoms would appear if people always try to oppress their feelings. However, for people who are living with roommates or not willing to share their thoughts with family and friends, they preferred to digest their emotions by themselves. In long term, the lack of relieving stress could cause mental issues. In the App MOOD, the access yo virtual reality world for users to express emotions could provide users privacy and personalized experience. I hope this App could help people who are fighting with depression or prevent people to be depressed due to the lack of relief.

User Test

To iterate the App design based on user's opinions, I brainstormed 15 App pages and sketched them as paper prototypes. Then 5 people were invited to test the paper prototypes. After receiving their views about App, I drew the first digital draft for the main sections of the App.
